散乱 | Distracted Mind
无垢光尊者有一句教言令我推崇备至,虽然自己因恶劣习气所驱,并没有时刻遵从,但也5 d1 u" a, L, m8 N9 d3 |5 ^. ]7 R
不妨说出来与道友分享。  _! {  `. ~9 B% Q, w0 R5 k' ]+ P8 J
There is one saying of Longchenpa that I really admire. Although my obscuration has prevented
4 f8 T. a  w: G( [7 |7 U. t: Gme from abiding in it all the time, I’d like to quote it here to share with Dharma friends.
5 g7 c. L+ P) {4 Q* U/ Q; D那句至理名言就是:“时时刻刻应观察自心,若实在无法避免散乱,则应精勤于顶礼、转( H  E5 E) w! j
绕等与善法相应的散乱,切莫造作恶业。若居静处时,应当修持禅定等胜义善法,不能于
' v! A1 W8 \$ p; @0 X0 D浑浑噩噩当中度日。”也就是说,不要让毫无意义的散乱占据了自己的宝贵时光。任何心
3 T& i0 r; {; r; O9 J情、任何环境下,都应与佛法相应。2 F& |& |" |9 @# |$ n' [, W
This golden saying is: “On all occasions, be vigilant about your own mind. If distraction is
4 T, z, s, q8 p/ p" B' tabsolutely unavoidable, then strive to engage in virtuous deeds that can be done in a distracting
6 k& v8 E& C6 Bsetting, such as doing prostration or circumambulation; never commit any evil deeds. If there is" P; d2 G% Y  V) k7 F+ r" E7 G
time for solitude, then practice excellent virtues such as quiescence meditation; do not waste* R# D* m2 |5 P. P
time muddle-headed.” In other words, we should not let meaningless diversions take hold of our
7 O1 u" t' V" y; `3 r6 I2 uprecious time. Under any circumstances and in any kind of mood, we should behave in6 R) J( g% V+ s' K4 r: X. j* C
accordance to the Dharma.* R% Y' B" M8 v0 A; a; ]+ N3 q: T
一些好的修行人,即使居于闹市,也能把握自己。表面上看来很懈怠,常睡懒觉。其实却1 m7 Q' i7 S/ I0 i8 z  P/ k# K7 {
躲在被子里看书、念经、修行、甚至修习梦光明,像骏马一样远远超胜于整天忙于吹嘘自, O, `& A# f7 p
己的人。根登群沛于印度时翻译的一些零散佛经中也说道:“放逸之中未放逸,睡梦之中6 j5 L! k. ^3 h+ j" M( V
已觉醒,犹如骏马之智者,远远超离平凡众。”5 L4 [8 p$ f$ x. m% K4 F) {
A good practitioner, even living in a bustling city, can still stick to his own principles. He may. t1 O9 M8 z" \4 z% h5 u$ P9 ^
seem lazy outwardly, always sleeping in. Yet secretly he is reading books under the bed covers,2 M3 q  `. T% t$ U9 i7 D
reciting scriptures, meditating, or even practicing luminary dream yoga. He is like a fine steed, far
) }0 R. h" u+ m' S3 wbetter than those who brag about self-accomplishment all the time. Gendün Chöphel has this% G3 \& o, a% _2 j. o2 u( H% V1 `: ?
saying in his miscellaneous translations done in India:. T' b* m8 n6 u% ~
A wise man is like a fine steed:
4 s5 d$ |, E% d; k" `. M  SBeing ever mindful even when relaxing,
5 A6 o( _" I$ v: q- m% R! xBeing wakeful while appearing to sleep.0 v" D8 R, ^% d4 D* S1 t6 ?" f
Far superior to common folks he is.
4 y) M1 c% U' X# {晋代文学家陶渊明也说过:“结庐在人境,而无车马喧,问君何能尔?心远地自偏。”; }. T, k( h) a
The scholar Tao Yuanming of Jin Dynasty says in a poem:
6 C1 S  @# U! f: V0 K9 V" t7 WIn people’s haunt I build my cot;+ q6 w  U' j7 K2 |( j& H
Wheel and hoof noises disturb me not.
: h% r5 ^0 e# J/ v( \2 _9 hHow can it leave on me no trace?
  ?5 C: V/ u# R; X7 D) r+ JSecluded heart makes secluded place.
' ]  v% y3 `) N$ o即使把家安于闹市,却没有车马的喧嚣,为什么能这样呢?因为,一旦心静下来,环境自: E% p! L1 k  P. k
然会随之而安静。身体所在的环境,往往会随因缘而变更。心若调服了,周遭的环境自然
$ T0 M- K" I. t. a. X+ o5 A不会对自己有所侵害。哪怕是身居喧哗,也能如如不动。心远了,“地”自然就偏了。
0 `! }- C6 b+ ]Even if one makes a home in a bustling city, one hears not the noise coming from cars or1 C% b3 E- s; ~* P' a6 @: h
carriages. How could that be? It is because one’s environment will automatically calm down  u' o3 n* h4 M
when the mind is calm. Our physical circumstance can be modulated by various factors. A
3 \9 v; M6 |: {peaceful mind will render the environment incapable of making disturbances to it. Our minds: \0 K- k" w' W' z1 j6 ~
remain unruffled even when we find ourselves in the hubbub of the world. A secluded mind5 p# B' ?1 v2 q0 b" @
naturally transports us to a secluded place.6 W! Z" g) p- X
