散乱 | Distracted Mind
无垢光尊者有一句教言令我推崇备至,虽然自己因恶劣习气所驱,并没有时刻遵从,但也7 Q9 B, r4 Z: a8 W  u; M: |
不妨说出来与道友分享。
3 c5 L: z9 y8 W3 v# t& C- SThere is one saying of Longchenpa that I really admire. Although my obscuration has prevented
  a( H0 x" l8 j8 s9 }# ?! |9 Mme from abiding in it all the time, I’d like to quote it here to share with Dharma friends.
7 C( b3 L  [( ]2 w7 a. o, m那句至理名言就是:“时时刻刻应观察自心,若实在无法避免散乱,则应精勤于顶礼、转9 @2 d/ j! E9 e2 w7 N
绕等与善法相应的散乱,切莫造作恶业。若居静处时,应当修持禅定等胜义善法,不能于3 A) E" `% o  F' {; J0 |" i
浑浑噩噩当中度日。”也就是说,不要让毫无意义的散乱占据了自己的宝贵时光。任何心- ]: s2 [/ i$ \
情、任何环境下,都应与佛法相应。
9 Q5 I' I6 f7 E) fThis golden saying is: “On all occasions, be vigilant about your own mind. If distraction is( m1 }. b( N* ?
absolutely unavoidable, then strive to engage in virtuous deeds that can be done in a distracting
. c' `; e) B; `. \' `setting, such as doing prostration or circumambulation; never commit any evil deeds. If there is
  W& ~. I) y, F" W4 d5 B& B/ R' Ntime for solitude, then practice excellent virtues such as quiescence meditation; do not waste
; n) h; B( ?7 Z4 F6 Utime muddle-headed.” In other words, we should not let meaningless diversions take hold of our* ^: Z; a  E! c/ C1 s2 e( V
precious time. Under any circumstances and in any kind of mood, we should behave in; O+ r* h, t0 `  b: e4 S
accordance to the Dharma.: R- `6 U& q" S$ _7 Z1 L9 ?+ F
一些好的修行人,即使居于闹市,也能把握自己。表面上看来很懈怠,常睡懒觉。其实却0 Y) ^" C6 h/ r% L/ x
躲在被子里看书、念经、修行、甚至修习梦光明,像骏马一样远远超胜于整天忙于吹嘘自
) y4 S$ t5 ~- B. V己的人。根登群沛于印度时翻译的一些零散佛经中也说道:“放逸之中未放逸,睡梦之中
, L. _7 l, Q* P$ a6 a  F已觉醒,犹如骏马之智者,远远超离平凡众。”. O  j7 G& Q* j, B
A good practitioner, even living in a bustling city, can still stick to his own principles. He may* c. F5 u7 d( |0 `  W
seem lazy outwardly, always sleeping in. Yet secretly he is reading books under the bed covers,
8 f/ l) d" F: }+ m" {reciting scriptures, meditating, or even practicing luminary dream yoga. He is like a fine steed, far% V+ c8 h; \. P6 G& j& w
better than those who brag about self-accomplishment all the time. Gendün Chöphel has this3 K/ L3 K: E1 {% @: F
saying in his miscellaneous translations done in India:: P+ L( g3 N- v& k9 y# B+ `
A wise man is like a fine steed:* r/ }9 m  z+ t
Being ever mindful even when relaxing,* h1 N7 f- s2 f. s% y: L$ L) P
Being wakeful while appearing to sleep.) c# o8 R3 o! n. g
Far superior to common folks he is.
% S3 h  s/ y; k4 a% ^* P晋代文学家陶渊明也说过:“结庐在人境,而无车马喧,问君何能尔?心远地自偏。”
) o, v+ d$ k$ g$ b6 b1 z# n8 YThe scholar Tao Yuanming of Jin Dynasty says in a poem:6 T) |% d  \/ ?0 d
In people’s haunt I build my cot;
* J% g1 a/ J6 a) UWheel and hoof noises disturb me not.+ A- D2 E6 p% A; Z
How can it leave on me no trace?/ y! K+ s- R- s! z- D) Q, a
Secluded heart makes secluded place.
2 B. C" q7 j" u" C即使把家安于闹市,却没有车马的喧嚣,为什么能这样呢?因为,一旦心静下来,环境自
0 p3 F) k* Z; p: G7 Q$ ?然会随之而安静。身体所在的环境,往往会随因缘而变更。心若调服了,周遭的环境自然$ y& G% |8 J9 Z
不会对自己有所侵害。哪怕是身居喧哗,也能如如不动。心远了,“地”自然就偏了。( d; B) u* K) p1 [
Even if one makes a home in a bustling city, one hears not the noise coming from cars or
2 r% T: F, o; Lcarriages. How could that be? It is because one’s environment will automatically calm down
) C% G2 s" x0 p  a$ t. Xwhen the mind is calm. Our physical circumstance can be modulated by various factors. A
& i3 q  x! H' `) I$ `1 ^peaceful mind will render the environment incapable of making disturbances to it. Our minds
  a6 B9 w! x7 _$ j6 E( B. m# Xremain unruffled even when we find ourselves in the hubbub of the world. A secluded mind6 [% Z* J/ W6 l6 _
naturally transports us to a secluded place.
