四力——索达吉堪布

我们知道藏传佛教无论格鲁派还是宁玛派等其他教派,忏悔时都依四对治力。修习汉传佛
9 Q/ j' b( E6 l4 N9 M教的有些人却以为这是藏地修法,没有必要采用,这种见解实为井蛙之见。! c9 [2 O% I- m( r) N
It is well known that in Gelugpa, Nyingmapa, or other schools of Tibetan Buddhism, every - N% J. z& d8 t- V& v" `
purification practice relies on the four powers of antidote. Some Han Buddhist practitioners,
$ q# Z& w! [/ G$ Showever, consider it a mere Tibetan tradition and hence neglect it. Such a viewpoint misses the " Z' \' C; Z# z% G1 w( B
big picture.
$ G  p" `: y! i其实,这也是藏传佛教将佛经窍诀灵活应用于修法的具体体现。四对治力在《大藏经》的& J, `: `) F# ~
经论中多有记载。如《宣说四法经》云:“弥勒,菩萨若具四法,则能压制所造所积之一切
) d" Y! v* Y& b: ]$ k罪。何为四法?厌患对治力、现行对治力、返回对治力、所依对治力。厌患对治力即若行1 z/ [$ o, J2 e- ?
不善业则多生悔心;现行对治力即虽作不善业但也极为精勤行善;返回对治力即真实受戒
# _7 _) k. M3 B  f8 H) ^6 x后获得不再就犯之戒;所依对治力即皈依佛、法、僧三宝与不舍菩提心。”
: P/ Z) h6 |4 ~. Y, v9 j. X. h8 CIn fact, this practice epitomizes how Tibetan Buddhism aptly applies Buddha’s pith instructions. . J( B- o! i4 }3 D8 X  \0 ^: A
In the Chinese Buddhist canon Tripitaka, there are many accounts of the four powers in sutras
( ?8 j4 A2 Z7 i% o2 J+ @' _% W5 ?- xand shastras. For instance, the Sutra Teaching the Four Dharmas says: “Maitreya, if a Bodhisattva
: i- O( {( z) [) h$ Q+ }4 @' S( ]possesses these four Dharmas, all the evil deeds which have been performed and accumulated
( j; }4 T$ v2 x& V( X& f. kwill be overcome. What are these four? They are: the power of regret, the power of action, the
! x; F( Y& o3 C/ Epower of resolution, and the power of support. As for the power of regret, if we have done   i6 @$ X9 U1 S1 K- Y8 H
negative actions, we repent them strongly. As for the power of action, it is the remediation of
# F$ W0 M1 P% ~4 _4 Oour evil deeds; we strive to do wholesome actions. As for the power of resolution, we make
" l& u( x( ?& \& y9 sgenuine vows never to repeat the same evil deeds again. As for the power of support, we go for : Y1 a* L7 v! r( ?' z
refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, and always uphold bodhichitta.”) d% `  K4 c$ M  Q6 Z/ m
不仅仅是四对治力,包括金刚萨埵心咒,也不是藏传佛教特有的忏悔咒,在《三猛厉调服8 O9 M/ ~" X5 r6 l0 d
经》中对此也有详细记载。
& D- t! ~* n9 i& H  R4 E1 s0 iThus the four powers of antidote are not exclusively found in Tibetan Buddhism. Moreover, the
, G* C- a/ v) X! ~0 T+ T0 ^+ s1 d6 wrecitation of the Vajrasattva mantra has been described in detail in the Sutra of Three Wrathful
- r% Z: e! s2 f. d0 y8 hWays of Taming as well.
8 J+ ~3 [8 T. P( S现在的众生往往只知道造作恶业,具足智慧而厉行忏悔的人却微乎其微。《弥勒狮吼请问: _9 l0 u$ `% r$ r; N
经》云:“愚人造恶业,不知忏悔罪,智者忏悔罪,不与业同住。”) d! |' @  e1 D3 n
People these days are committing non-virtues all the time and hardly anyone bothers to repent * W# u1 {, r$ M4 t
sincerely with wisdom. The Sutra of the Great Lion’s Roar Requested by Maitreya says: “The fool $ y- M% T  w0 T! j6 W
commits evil karmas and knows not to confess faults. The wise person purifies faults and
" p5 a* N1 w" |$ j2 ldissociates from negative karmas.”4 o% L1 Z7 l: g8 E4 U, B2 l! L' ^
所以不论是藏传佛教还是汉传佛教,若依四对治力忏悔,即能遣除无量罪障。如果因前世4 B+ g: v" A3 k5 M
习气难以更改,不能完全断除杀生、妄语等恶习,但如果能每天诚心念诵金刚萨埵心咒,9 r; [5 a, I5 D2 f" h8 c
也会有不可思议功德。6 a5 q4 x- [, K; j/ R
Therefore, either Tibetan Buddhism or Han Buddhism contains the practice of confession with ; _! y. X3 Q1 d+ U/ H5 q7 e
four antidotes that, if followed properly, will purify innumerable non-virtues. However, someone 0 M2 @$ w# I( S8 P/ o7 k
with recalcitrant habits from past lives may find it difficult to renounce completely bad - _7 s& [6 ?' \9 x; x. A: n/ Q& s
tendencies such as taking lives or telling lies. In this case, by reciting sincerely the Vajrasattva 8 r4 o, x2 q) v
mantra every day, one can still accrue incredible merits.8 f' ?6 ^" E, U! t  U; l6 I
但愿人们在散乱之余,不要忘了忏悔。
2 k" o% T' i- Z% q1 W) g# h) MI hope people will not forget the purification practice besides tending to other distractive   `. S1 ^% k- a
activities!
