, w3 w- _7 b! \, j& R7 S: O汁液溢满口腔。如此美妙之果莫非是天人享用之物?一番讨价还价之后,以不菲的价格换$ i6 \9 F4 | J$ N% W- ^4 o

得几十余颗。赶快捧回家,作为佐书之“菜”。

put it in my mouth. A refreshing and delicious juice filled my mouth—yum! Such tasty fruit must

, Z# P/ V2 K; Y4 N' |be the treat of the god realm! After a little bargaining, I brought dozens at quite a steep price4 }+ b R# \4 A7 j+ E

and hurried home with them, thinking to savor them with my readings.8 l0 t7 x8 t4 N) |

百味,方为具智之人。法国哲学家拉罗申福科说过:“幸福后面是灾祸,灾祸后面是幸福

。”古代也有“福兮祸所伏,祸兮福所倚”的说法。0 N& E$ a; d8 X

Turning the pages of the Great Biography of Buddha Shakyamuni, the White Lotus, I read this:( y; b- k2 w F- Z; x

“How many people in the world will enjoy everlasting happiness? How many people in the world

will suffer endless miseries? How many have never experienced suffering? After attaining& J- a. ] ^; X5 V/ u" E9 ?

happiness, how many have enjoyed it forever?” Indeed, throughout the journey of life, there will

: Y0 O. t. K0 B$ ]' i! z7 ]% ybe happiness, but suffering will be there as well. Whatever one’s identity is, one is bound to taste
$ }1 M' R& ?4 n
1 ~; P0 x# c4 w `- q! r! y/ Sthe assorted bitter sweetness of life. A person of wisdom therefore must meet life’s vicissitudes
; T3 x' f2 x$ a! t
6 x- b' i* p. | M, e4 Ycalmly: neither becoming arrogant with success nor discouraged by failure. The French
! z3 N+ M$ o8 b& [, b
+ {3 C1 F O" S5 Pphilosopher La Rochefoucauld says that the happiness and misery of men depend no less on/ ^& E0 u6 q" z3 u2 z8 h* n
m5 ] J) c5 y/ k" b" ~temper than fortune, mirroring this ancient saying:

Therefore, whenever we are seized with intense emotion of pleasure or pain in a happy or sad

moment, we should look squarely at its essence. This is the most crucial, most powerful way of. I! [5 D9 a, C/ e
0 r$ ]/ R1 m3 { V/ b
practice.

$ _* |) r8 K* }7 O6 q# E+ w6 R3 ?想着想着,不知不觉忘了吃枇杷的事。但我在书里尝到了比枇杷更鲜美的滋味。这才是世; P. Y/ \" N3 Q, W. ?
) N; i7 w, I# _5 X/ k上最鲜美的枇杷,且经久不腐,即使历经百年、千年,也可永久享用。
