智悲精华凝聚而成的智慧宝库,却丰富多彩、琳琅满目,令世间富翁们望尘莫及。只要有

! W$ m7 |' A: [' G+ y- rtheir followers the wisdom legacy, treasure troves filled with dazzling arrays of sublimated

$ G. s/ \5 R5 @" h8 Qwisdom and compassion. Anyone equipped with the key of faith will discover in the vault gems& o* H7 l% w8 Y7 _

- N4 q8 @% ~4 |/ }. f% yToday, I made a trip to Lhala Chodri Rinpoche’s treasure chamber and toured around.- M5 c# W1 F0 U9 L9 g
. A1 {: Q2 F' pInnumerable jewels and gems filled the place to the brim and made me, who always craves more
' K$ k# \. w7 g% T; l) H+ E; N r: B9 y& q
Dharma, ecstatic to no end. But with my limited strength, I was unable to bring out all the
5 n s9 h$ U. [, t2 E# T# W. z5 x: Y2 \$ m0 r8 }/ q
treasures I saw. I could not resist, however, translating one passage on recognizing the nature of
$ S4 D8 c2 e) k7 y: I3 h( N5 V- w4 l/ N4 `
the mind. While I’d love to share it with Dharma friends, those who have not received the

M* i& U/ t/ b1 m- D“略说直指之心宝:一切万法依心而显现,观察起心动念之心,却无有所得。观察自己之+ x: V5 U! B% a/ F3 Q& I% {) ?7 r
1 O5 V) I3 Z& u0 ^! y/ A
心,其颜色形状皆不可得。无始之心乃为分别念所假立。真正寻觅‘我’与‘我心’,皆6 t- E' t+ f" U3 f
. ?5 N g0 }8 ]3 i8 H& s5 j为空性。除此之外,毫无实质,这是中观的见解。自己的心无有寻觅,自然安住于空性与7 ]. H2 H: P2 r( R1 ~
2 J5 z- |9 X$ k显现不灭,自明自知的境界,这就是大圆满的境界。于此境界中不随外境而散乱,不被细/ h* T ^2 W/ w$ u/ ^

微分别念所染污,以正知正念护持明然了然之心,如河流之相续般长期修持,极为重要。

8 \3 I& U0 t" r* q) _$ Q6 lthe mind. When one investigates the mind that is having the thought, one finds nothing. Looking% Q: Q: k p/ o) l0 h
# H: z$ J! t2 a7 v! U2 }$ g4 F
for one’s mind, there are no shapes or colors of it to be found. The thing we called mind since6 W7 }% L) e9 @7 o; j
; X; h3 @" f. t: P* B- e
beginning-less time is only an imputation of conceptual thinking. A thorough investigation of the% E, \' C, I; x
$ s( {* A9 Z) J‘I’ and ‘my mind’ yields only emptiness. Other than that, there is nothing substantial; this is the

6 g8 L' J# _' E" U# Q& uview of Madhyamaka. Our mind, when no longer searching around, naturally abides in emptiness$ F( v3 q$ n; F# K' I
! p" v( }7 N' [/ @7 G0 \and the unceasing display of phenomena. Such a state of self-knowing and clarity is the realm of
* S, p8 j0 M5 j' D( ?6 ]/ x+ O$ O7 H
Great Perfection. Remaining thus undistracted by external objects and unsullied by subtle
6 F! F( p& N6 N) K! c+ r$ x/ g" W6 A. [* T
discursive thoughts, one maintains a luminous and knowing mind with the right view and
$ y- L- m3 P" }3 @
) J9 s ?6 n6 `0 I* S; Pmindfulness. It’s important to practice continuously, like a great unremitting stream. Besides,9 ^+ h0 {; `& ?: T( n" U5 ]
; q/ m5 r8 X( {
one also must maintain supportive practices such as taking refuge, generating bodhichitta,
3 X' f8 X& P8 Z* x+ c# ?5 |. D' b
# g* \! e0 L) t+ ?+ r, |; npracticing guru yoga, as well as observing worldly virtues of doing good deeds and abandoning7 `3 b; K$ T6 A2 M* R
& D0 `7 Q3 V s+ M. {evils. For me, the old yogi of Nyingmapa, Sonan Lanchen, there are no other daily practices

; U& X) X" I0 ]6 s" l5 Y也有一些人,自以为是大圆满的根基,不修皈依、发心、上师瑜伽,断恶行善等世间善法

0 [, ]8 ?( H" r" f) W) z5 r0 l,认为那是下等根基的行为。难道他的根基超过了传承祖师?" c2 K9 U7 X+ r1 [

Of course there are people who regard themselves as possessing sharp faculties for Great" `1 V! G; S! E; g
% b* ? K( B* j( V- J& {7 i! K* z
Perfection. They regard taking refuge, doing guru yoga, arousing bodhichitta, adopting worldly3 E4 D7 Q( I5 K8 u; `: T
{+ E, R' o0 f z9 S% ]: jvirtues, and abandoning evils as practices for dull people only and choose to ignore them. Do; P# ` A* n- l& N7 d
' n4 N- D% D5 h, U4 K" R+ Tthey really think their aptitudes surpass those of our lineage masters?1 z; E. A$ g2 v' V
