9 k) t* d$ {4 k1 l( i" Vspring. This, it turned out, was just my wishful thinking. Suspended in the high void was a bright7 `# o( ?* R. b- I7 N
full moon that sprinkled a fine layer of silver dust over houses, trees, and the garden. It was% J8 L" n9 i9 Z
exactly as described in the poem:: E* Y% F8 [2 W7 S! l
So long as there is water in the rivers,
" E: \, e9 l8 @Even if there are thousands of them,2 a" n. s( g# L& L5 O
The moon will be reflected in each.
4 c7 t' T" q6 ~2 ySo long as the sky is unobstructed by clouds,
6 u2 w8 j- n! m' p; W7 `" ZNo matter how many thousands of miles it spans,0 M# a7 U" |; O6 U! |' o
It is all clear sky.
# k L7 C3 a2 z& V! `池塘中、脸盆里、甚至下雨积下的水坑中,都无一例外地盛着那圆圆的、光亮的脸,仿佛

的确,无论地上有多少水器,只要水面平静,水质清净,皆能显现皎洁月影。同样,无论/ G9 A+ d8 C2 t) F0 h9 f" R$ M5 F
多少人,若能以净心观想佛陀,佛也会立即来至彼前,为其加持,排其苦恼,令其安乐。3 \8 l3 M* B h% [2 \
Indeed, regardless of how many water containers there are on the ground, all will reflect the% ]$ K. b* q: X4 C4 c' F
same beautiful moon as long as the water surfaces are clean and calm. Similarly, regardless of: u7 T" l6 E5 L- b" y
how many people there are on earth, as long as they visualize the Buddha with a pure mind, the6 @. N7 J. o% g4 a3 C
Buddha will appear in front of them to bestow blessing, dispel suffering, and bring happiness.
7 \' K# _" d& y- A6 e* r《宝积经》云:“何人作意佛,能仁住彼前,恒时赐加持,解脱一切罪。”可见如此做法有% Y' |; J' r% o% F/ P1 e
很大功德。《三摩地王经》曰:“散步安住站立卧,何人忆念能仁尊,本师恒时住彼前,彼
- ^7 J9 b2 J6 c- Z. Y9 t者将获广大果。”也许有人会疑惑,为何佛陀会在转瞬之间来至我们面前呢?其原因是因为7 I7 a* I" j e! r |5 A7 L
自己的心无丝毫垢染,加上智悲尊者的大悲力显现而致。《大圆满心性休息》云:“观想彼
4 J) m3 a& L7 E3 `6 O临极应理,此为自心清净力,智悲尊主大悲力,佛说如意成所愿。”- Y. t9 Y! [4 D1 S; F
The Jewel Heap Sutra (Ratnakuṭa Sutra) says: “Should anyone think of the Buddha with faith, the
- v6 h, r' O4 p0 v- {! pBuddha is there, right in front of them, constantly granting his blessings and freedom from all
7 M- w/ U8 d$ H6 U# u* m' L5 M) i: I4 xharm.” Hence to think of the Buddha is very meritorious. The King of Concentration Sutra also
7 d( }9 R* N1 O! g1 A9 M, f" S; t) Nsays: “Whoever recollects the Buddha while walking, standing, sitting, or sleeping will always be% u9 H& t" _! H# ?7 X
in Buddha’s presence, and will attain vast accomplishment.” People may wonder: How could the) {4 I! Q+ Z3 U" _$ x9 J" \" m D
Buddha come to us the moment we think about him? Such manifestation is made possible by our
5 M# p1 K' V W" M; P: Jminds being absolutely pure and by the power of Buddha’s great compassion. A Treatise on
5 N: A- U+ T, @" f1 C% LFinding Comfort and Ease in the Nature of Mind says: “Due to the power of our innate purity and
" O h3 }+ m' o% Y* ^* Vthe power of Buddha’s great compassion, the Buddha will approach us and grant whatever is
( C) N, ]; ` T) I8 m0 {desired just as we visualize him.”

should feel ashamed. We should constantly reflect on the adamantine words of the scriptures," c: B% ], E u6 l9 W7 X) \
which will bring us vast benefit in dispelling obstacles, establishing faith, and enhancing wisdom.
