散乱 | Distracted Mind 无垢光尊者有一句教言令我推崇备至,虽然自己因恶劣习气所驱,并没有时刻遵从,但也0 M- A! w X# `2 B9 q& q
不妨说出来与道友分享。8 [" l$ O. j5 I: h0 f0 L5 x
There is one saying of Longchenpa that I really admire. Although my obscuration has prevented
7 C2 ^4 W. w$ a' E) M( ome from abiding in it all the time, I’d like to quote it here to share with Dharma friends.
4 U( f2 ^( c: l6 R/ R那句至理名言就是:“时时刻刻应观察自心,若实在无法避免散乱,则应精勤于顶礼、转7 o- u! A0 e- v* e) W1 ?0 ]
绕等与善法相应的散乱,切莫造作恶业。若居静处时,应当修持禅定等胜义善法,不能于
8 y+ E5 R" w# ~3 f. j+ L0 T6 O! M浑浑噩噩当中度日。”也就是说,不要让毫无意义的散乱占据了自己的宝贵时光。任何心
- a3 y& L4 A1 L& P) d( \/ y: k; h3 D情、任何环境下,都应与佛法相应。' T' R* J! L0 }/ h- ?
This golden saying is: “On all occasions, be vigilant about your own mind. If distraction is* L K3 D8 N) K" m. V; o$ @% B
absolutely unavoidable, then strive to engage in virtuous deeds that can be done in a distracting" U1 K9 [, s& Q5 r5 M: U0 r2 I; b8 ?
setting, such as doing prostration or circumambulation; never commit any evil deeds. If there is; a5 G- \6 P) W% \, u* d3 r
time for solitude, then practice excellent virtues such as quiescence meditation; do not waste, A" U2 a/ ^# | g
time muddle-headed.” In other words, we should not let meaningless diversions take hold of our5 y- X4 b4 L* P. m
precious time. Under any circumstances and in any kind of mood, we should behave in
$ N/ J$ @* }8 q5 q. ~+ Taccordance to the Dharma.
8 n: K* |9 x5 f一些好的修行人,即使居于闹市,也能把握自己。表面上看来很懈怠,常睡懒觉。其实却$ A2 U4 O# j" d7 K7 d k: v. G
躲在被子里看书、念经、修行、甚至修习梦光明,像骏马一样远远超胜于整天忙于吹嘘自" v7 j9 C' `; Q% A* i5 O* \1 o
己的人。根登群沛于印度时翻译的一些零散佛经中也说道:“放逸之中未放逸,睡梦之中& W) x) o8 }3 e
已觉醒,犹如骏马之智者,远远超离平凡众。”
* j' e. H3 ]5 u) k1 S! qA good practitioner, even living in a bustling city, can still stick to his own principles. He may
6 K3 P7 {' E) L' O1 H) Gseem lazy outwardly, always sleeping in. Yet secretly he is reading books under the bed covers,
( K# B/ G$ \; p |# hreciting scriptures, meditating, or even practicing luminary dream yoga. He is like a fine steed, far
: I1 |1 s1 q: F9 p! n, w% w& W Zbetter than those who brag about self-accomplishment all the time. Gendün Chöphel has this) X4 P6 |1 v- {" l
saying in his miscellaneous translations done in India:6 |/ [% X1 C5 f+ T3 Y9 w
A wise man is like a fine steed:2 Z! l L( `' I! r. x2 A, j3 ?
Being ever mindful even when relaxing,3 g! v% e+ s5 [# d
Being wakeful while appearing to sleep.

晋代文学家陶渊明也说过:“结庐在人境,而无车马喧,问君何能尔?心远地自偏。”" p! B8 [+ q4 {
The scholar Tao Yuanming of Jin Dynasty says in a poem:
0 m" Q" u1 o6 v P" g; SIn people’s haunt I build my cot;
6 j! y1 i: ~3 B# c; NWheel and hoof noises disturb me not.
7 p6 v* i7 `* Q2 F9 aHow can it leave on me no trace?4 F+ \& o$ V1 N0 }+ @0 s
Secluded heart makes secluded place.2 f4 k) u- q, y4 R& X
即使把家安于闹市,却没有车马的喧嚣,为什么能这样呢?因为,一旦心静下来,环境自
7 {% _6 x- ?1 `) z- u然会随之而安静。身体所在的环境,往往会随因缘而变更。心若调服了,周遭的环境自然
! F1 F+ C% q: f7 s不会对自己有所侵害。哪怕是身居喧哗,也能如如不动。心远了,“地”自然就偏了。4 d9 ~, i% h/ d d' R) r8 H
Even if one makes a home in a bustling city, one hears not the noise coming from cars or% {4 _+ G" q& E, k I+ u: x1 t
carriages. How could that be? It is because one’s environment will automatically calm down0 B6 n& A8 G- E' {0 k7 g
when the mind is calm. Our physical circumstance can be modulated by various factors. A R I! N; [, O& m
peaceful mind will render the environment incapable of making disturbances to it. Our minds! P, m& m3 D) M3 v' J# d% x! ]
remain unruffled even when we find ourselves in the hubbub of the world. A secluded mind
3 W% |% }4 i3 e5 e) t& y4 f4 Wnaturally transports us to a secluded place.1 X2 a9 L O+ a+ l
