) Y% |2 G) f4 o城市里的人们,脸上都挂着疲倦和痛苦的表情。究竟为什么会这样呢?经过我的详细观察
) U$ u/ \6 E1 `. A% q5 |. V. s k5 L/ S4 F( M T0 x
,发现大多是因为钱财。5 o2 g3 ]; U( K4 `. b( r
5 K6 t8 u, O! m) d9 m" v5 _City dwellers usually wear a look of weariness and worry. Why is that so? After my careful9 T' J- p# C4 O
" g& Y2 |/ d7 cobservation, I find money issues are largely to blame.3 J+ o- X k% Z
& \3 G2 u2 t- J0 a1 r" @众生赖以生存的这付臭皮囊,如果不幸降临于都市,就时刻需要钱财的支撑,否则就会轰" K' t/ y& ~: R* Z. G
& F/ m& f! Q! G- M ~5 {# m9 l
然坍塌。也许有的人会说:“不可能吧?”但在都市里,你会处处感觉到钱财的重要性。
) U, ]1 P5 i$ p) W5 K- W# D# _3 w! B* V' x4 B- ~3 h
无论吃饭、穿衣、看病、睡觉,甚至上厕所,也离不开钱。真的应了那句话:“钱不是万
) f8 i5 s% o4 T# A3 y. o5 r, H% Z7 r
能的,但没有钱是万万不能的。”+ \: f6 X8 `4 \/ {
% O4 V1 |' d% a) c+ `% h" c
This sack of flesh and bones that we humans survive in, if it fatefully lands in a city, will need the
' F) X9 ~- T3 a. f x; H0 K! P0 v) H- v6 I
constant support of money. Otherwise, it will fall with a thump. Some of you may argue: “That’s
% R- w, S. ~* H0 G( D* V5 q9 G1 l w9 n0 b
not quite possible!” But in the city, one is forced to be keenly aware of the power of money. Any
; J* @& c9 R( K8 C' u* s5 ^" n1 a8 ~6 x" b
activity—be it eating, buying clothes, and seeing the doctor, sleeping, even going to the3 g( ?* n6 y# t; F
' W0 X, d) i$ {+ z3 htoilet—calls for money. It is exactly how the saying goes: “Money is not almighty, but without: T1 M5 H! d# j9 Q- o. o5 U/ L
+ ?6 c4 |3 D8 h5 r4 Y7 M. {
money nothing can be done.”/ R3 w4 p4 y4 E# {, h+ M) I
9 I3 x6 ]6 s5 O
没有钱,都市人的一切生存活动都不得不停滞。为了五蕴所构建的这部机器能正常运转,

, }9 o, {( |; n6 m人不得不像奴仆一样,为这部机器的能源——钱财而搏斗。我时常在想,如果人能像蚯蚓

一样吃土也能生存该多好啊!但现实无情地告诉我,城市人要寻求生存的因是异常困难的

) L( f, w5 U: d0 M. BWith no money, all living activities in the city have to come to a halt. In order to have our body

0 ~& d# e5 O3 }3 Jmachine, the composite of five aggregates, function normally; humans have to struggle like8 B4 x6 B) F0 l2 E- r- ~" p
" S5 v. k% H. ~' `; X5 B1 y3 r9 Kslaves to garner the source of its fuel—money. I often think, wouldn’t it be wonderful if humans
; K8 _* ~' M+ t, P# S& {
7 c6 F+ w4 y( E, @/ X J+ vcould survive just by imbibing soil like the earthworm! But cruel reality tells me otherwise: for
$ I+ @9 \, ]7 l; J3 k$ U3 v8 [
; O$ c6 s J% L* |2 g; Ypeople living in the city, the provisions to survive are by no means easy to come by.

所以,城市的人只有忙忙碌碌。不论他是谁,都会感受为钱财奔波而带来的痛苦。以前以- c) T' J: y2 m( ?3 ]) U
. Z" ?% {' m8 L/ p5 n, a为城市人过着天人一般的日子,现在方知,他们更是备受煎熬啊!这一切,令我想起山里
+ @" a7 l L: ^1 ?* ~, F/ {
* m2 e" | X0 x* k- n+ [2 E的修行人。在山里,除了食物,不需要为更多的事操心,生存的因自然具足。同样是1000; H: [. m$ |+ v% P* z3 ~! c8 v
" |5 \) k( F* }: x$ q# m
元,在山里,就是腰板挺直的大富翁;然而在城市里,却有捉襟见肘、相形见绌的感觉。

- O0 [) H+ T6 I* b/ c$ ZConsequently, city folks are reduced to being always on the run. The anguish of having to work6 P3 ^0 d; J1 Y* @- B$ C
: I5 s; i$ C: Z2 `& J$ ohard for money is felt by practically everyone. Previously I had the illusion that people in the city+ [2 K5 ~3 b1 r
+ i8 D. J& z2 \1 l' u; ]/ ylive like celestial beings; only now do I come to see the extra agony they have to endure. This
' i' x1 Q" {9 i1 V6 Y5 h$ d* c1 U* Y, Y, ]& U7 q) \
reminds me of those spiritual seekers deep in the mountains where the environment is naturally6 o" l* h+ q3 b0 r4 Y
8 [- s1 T& g# ?/ M; K& A! Y! z5 ]! }) [) Wconducive to survival. Other than food, there are not too many things to worry about, and a
}5 o: L7 j! a3 G
8 m# E, `) p R B s! J0 T# J2 eperson with 1,000 yuan can stand tall and be considered a rich person. While in the city, the' P% [6 @% I, m! o/ ]/ ~
' k+ ~. f8 w- A% l7 i) p# H* `same amount of money won’t go too far; one is unable to make ends meet and will feel a sense2 X7 N- C4 q8 ?; s: @ C
% l( H5 \* a& F4 x( y* n
of inferiority.7 m! K3 `" Y% I9 ~

作为修行人,就是应当以积累圣者七财为荣,积累世间钱财为耻,视清贫为最好的伴侣。

富贵荣华足以使人痴迷,而贫贱却足以使人睿智。

vision and wisdom.
