散乱 | Distracted Mind
无垢光尊者有一句教言令我推崇备至,虽然自己因恶劣习气所驱,并没有时刻遵从,但也
- s# _) ?8 x( U" c" s; l) `9 t不妨说出来与道友分享。
6 f5 H) c5 N! o9 L( J2 k/ ^# l3 FThere is one saying of Longchenpa that I really admire. Although my obscuration has prevented
% ?! W: ?5 L' }* Z3 M4 X3 cme from abiding in it all the time, I’d like to quote it here to share with Dharma friends.
5 w' b- N9 r3 R: `3 T) N那句至理名言就是:“时时刻刻应观察自心,若实在无法避免散乱,则应精勤于顶礼、转. ~' i, [6 J" u) f
绕等与善法相应的散乱,切莫造作恶业。若居静处时,应当修持禅定等胜义善法,不能于+ m7 e" Q/ S% H/ X: m$ u
浑浑噩噩当中度日。”也就是说,不要让毫无意义的散乱占据了自己的宝贵时光。任何心
* [% S9 u0 }4 Q: {9 L" T0 _情、任何环境下,都应与佛法相应。
% {  t0 _& V0 U9 p) C. gThis golden saying is: “On all occasions, be vigilant about your own mind. If distraction is$ C, m0 `5 S* E, p3 o- Q8 y1 b
absolutely unavoidable, then strive to engage in virtuous deeds that can be done in a distracting
* J6 a' b4 j# dsetting, such as doing prostration or circumambulation; never commit any evil deeds. If there is
' q5 c  G# e- y# h1 Dtime for solitude, then practice excellent virtues such as quiescence meditation; do not waste. ~( @3 X3 ~: f2 i: P" |: C+ M$ V0 l0 |
time muddle-headed.” In other words, we should not let meaningless diversions take hold of our
7 v# @% l; I. [( O- vprecious time. Under any circumstances and in any kind of mood, we should behave in0 M3 q  J" N6 U1 |  L+ z
accordance to the Dharma.- t8 i/ o) S- _6 {4 k. j9 ^. [
一些好的修行人,即使居于闹市,也能把握自己。表面上看来很懈怠,常睡懒觉。其实却3 K" f2 r, S3 F$ }1 I
躲在被子里看书、念经、修行、甚至修习梦光明,像骏马一样远远超胜于整天忙于吹嘘自8 ]9 T7 L5 O! G# i( C! B- }  @/ A
己的人。根登群沛于印度时翻译的一些零散佛经中也说道:“放逸之中未放逸,睡梦之中
. P+ T( o0 F( v/ w& d; _! W6 ^1 m( P- z已觉醒,犹如骏马之智者,远远超离平凡众。”
7 j- W" I# d" o$ m& T3 K/ kA good practitioner, even living in a bustling city, can still stick to his own principles. He may0 T0 l3 U/ S: w2 M
seem lazy outwardly, always sleeping in. Yet secretly he is reading books under the bed covers,$ s- q: b) x) J! h
reciting scriptures, meditating, or even practicing luminary dream yoga. He is like a fine steed, far& K* ?2 }$ \9 Q
better than those who brag about self-accomplishment all the time. Gendün Chöphel has this+ g- ^; k2 f( X: R6 ]
saying in his miscellaneous translations done in India:
' e8 l! T, p: NA wise man is like a fine steed:& |0 N) E8 U; k; [
Being ever mindful even when relaxing,$ w/ f' z8 k- ^% E  F& V+ a2 I
Being wakeful while appearing to sleep.
! Z1 }# C$ E  M) t( v! OFar superior to common folks he is.
% @' H) d9 Y3 B* E" a7 ^$ u/ h$ x6 l晋代文学家陶渊明也说过:“结庐在人境,而无车马喧,问君何能尔?心远地自偏。”6 r' a$ p3 `9 O6 e. d; e
The scholar Tao Yuanming of Jin Dynasty says in a poem:3 Y: y/ @; g; @$ L; q. M( w
In people’s haunt I build my cot;% ~/ ?' j  f5 B& S8 g5 t
Wheel and hoof noises disturb me not.2 B% x6 M/ a$ s  y
How can it leave on me no trace?$ ?/ H$ ^4 R+ ]8 K' v9 [6 ^; M* W
Secluded heart makes secluded place.0 c0 Q6 }# g( E, v
即使把家安于闹市,却没有车马的喧嚣,为什么能这样呢?因为,一旦心静下来,环境自! K7 K% G3 ^7 w6 d! P4 v0 P+ W# O& }
然会随之而安静。身体所在的环境,往往会随因缘而变更。心若调服了,周遭的环境自然  H& \' R- j4 k; b: n/ G5 `
不会对自己有所侵害。哪怕是身居喧哗,也能如如不动。心远了,“地”自然就偏了。
4 }' O: p+ ?% C2 F+ MEven if one makes a home in a bustling city, one hears not the noise coming from cars or: w5 @$ d# L& a& l8 X" s
carriages. How could that be? It is because one’s environment will automatically calm down
7 V5 W+ y4 y+ T# d; Xwhen the mind is calm. Our physical circumstance can be modulated by various factors. A0 n' V+ d% Y6 k4 r: f3 \( A0 v; O
peaceful mind will render the environment incapable of making disturbances to it. Our minds4 ]  ?1 D4 f& U/ g. W: b; k
remain unruffled even when we find ourselves in the hubbub of the world. A secluded mind- @5 T5 o/ k. e. D
naturally transports us to a secluded place.
