Some friends and family have gotten the full impact of it in the last
few hours, and I must say they are VERY patient.  By now, however,
they should be used to me and my toys.

$ k# z0 p# V# u0 TI stopped at Office Depot today and bought a CanoScan LiDE 90
: l3 G" F9 V3 M" R5 G2 Cscanner.  For months now I\'ve been wanting a simple scanner for my
( _" h  k) g; \; h2 u4 @% Gslides and photos. Every other place I went to, like Wal*Mart and
" Q& j( Z+ m$ |; ~% m5 D' oTarget, only sold the printer/copier/fax/scanner units.  I already own
all of that except for the scanner and wasn\'t about to spend hundreds
of dollars for more than I need.

This scanner costing under $80 does a great job on my photos, even the
4 a9 y) ]& D+ B& y: mones of me as a baby.  My slides of astronomical art by Morris Scott
Dollens come out okay even after collecting dust for decades.  I
should be kept busy for days scanning all the photos I\'ve saved over
the years in an old suitcase.  Now if I could only figure out who all
those people in really old photos are!
