意供 | Mental Offerings
" _9 }8 n5 o- ^7 m0 ] P6 E有等持及观想能力的人,依靠意幻供养不仅方便而且功德很大。其具体方法如下:
' T# T! v, B9 b+ ]: NMaking mental offerings generates great merit. It is an easy task for those skilled in 4 A" W) n6 F1 ^4 i5 c! O
concentration and visualization. The following provides specific steps:- Z* F& W6 n' J
以等持观想各种供品持于手中,供养释迦牟尼佛或其他佛菩萨。若观想能力成熟,可观想6 d1 @! x. V: {6 j& V
尽法界、尽虚空界,遍满诸传承上师、十方三世一切佛,种种菩萨、修行僧众海会围绕
+ Y n$ }; H$ a5 n9 k9 y8 W: x。《宝箧经》云:“掌中观想诸供品,供养一尊佛陀前,供养诸佛亦复然,仙人等境仍如是+ S( u5 U0 b4 }7 o: e
。”《华严经》中也有相同描述。
: L: x( H* ~, p- v* JWith a steady mind, imagine many excellent substances in your hands and offer them to Buddha
3 a% A2 K7 T# j7 jShakyamuni or other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. If you are good at visualization, think
% T: C# Q9 i/ @: [8 p3 lthroughout space and reaching the end of the universe there gather the objects of veneration
, g1 C% \8 U+ Y) s7 c4 ]' n' M& h7 F2 Glike cloud banks—lineage lamas, Buddhas of the ten directions and three times, as well as 1 S1 Y( C# ~" o" y9 g- ~ F$ H
Bodhisattvas, sages, and noble Sanghas. The Sutra of Jewel Chest says: “Visualize many offering
3 _9 @+ L9 ]$ d% |- q# Msubstances in your hands, offer them to the Buddha in front of you and to many other Buddhas # E# L7 P/ H2 A& U) m
throughout the universe. Offer in the same way to all sublime beings.” Similar descriptions are ) \% v- [7 Z" p0 g; {; m |% [
also found in the Avatamsaka Sutra.1 e' [# Q9 t7 h/ a& W( Q J
再观想自己与六道之无量众生以胜妙之供养:上妙珍馐、轮王七宝、花云、天音乐云、天
0 F) V4 S( w% J: v! C; k伞盖云,天衣服云,天种种香:涂香、烧香、末香,如是等云,一一量如须弥山王。燃种
5 H! k2 w4 s) ]& U) u; \3 p种灯:酥灯、油灯、诸香油灯。一一灯柱,如须弥山;一一灯油,如大海水……以如是等( W) ?6 L6 P: v& E" D% H
诸供养具而为供养。
0 i1 L: s- t( G% ~5 BThen imagine yourself and limitless beings of the six realms presenting the most excellent gifts: ) e; W8 A8 \& u# {) [
sumptuous nourishment, the seven jewels of the universal monarch, clouds of flowers, heavenly
5 ]8 z' f/ a: P# J" U1 h$ E6 Rmusic, celestial parasols, angelic garment, all kinds of sublime perfumes—scented balms,
( C( h0 g# ?0 F) L) }aromatic incense, fragrant powders, and so on. Each of these cloud offerings is equal in quantity
5 O r, A/ x- h7 J( u8 mto Mt. Meru. Also present lamps of various kinds—butter lamps, oil lamps, and lamps of sweet 2 G! Q. h! k# h8 s* J
perfumes, the wick of each lamp the size of Mt. Meru, the burning oil the amount of ocean ; n2 m/ c/ q1 C! }
water. Ceaselessly offer such gifts in veneration.
8 A/ l) \- q$ x6 T4 ?( r麦彭仁波切云:“等持意供者,以信心与恭敬心为基,由等持幻变无边之供云,以智慧了知
8 ]9 ~7 b3 T1 c( i1 l# l彼无自性者也。”1 m v* x7 U9 a$ \0 v7 h
Mipham Rinpoche teaches: “When making mental offerings, first establish faith and devotion, 2 @9 s4 |" ` D+ l* ]. \
then in a state of concentration imagine limitless offerings as cloud banks; at the same time,
) ]0 O( Q r* C! e! p5 Urealize with wisdom that none of them has any real essence.”
4 z$ J! o. c9 w# X由此可见,与其为供养上师、佛陀而以欺骗手段造作恶业,还不如以清净心意幻供养为妙
, _7 Z7 A* t& X0 o: Q" U+ ]Hence, in honoring spiritual masters and the Buddhas, it would be better to make mental
* r! m6 `/ ?3 [1 u3 Kofferings with a pure mind, rather than to make material offerings through trickery or deception.
. R1 A3 G7 q/ K, U6 s) z供养乃为令诸佛菩萨欢喜之法,“上报四重恩,下济三途苦”是每位佛子之本分。但如果为
8 h6 A! e8 c! q& v* [8 Z" _供养佛菩萨而伤害其它众生,实为舍本趋末之颠倒行为。0 `( {0 J& Y$ m# D
Making offerings is a skillful means to please the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Every follower of ; b9 [, g; z1 M* B: X- I
Buddhism should advocate, “repaying the four great kindnesses and easing the sufferings of the
3 A7 E1 V& L4 E1 [three realms.” But should we harm other living beings in the name of offerings to the Buddhas
! @$ g; I3 W, T0 X- G, H8 fand Bodhisattvas, it would be a perverted act that barters the trunk for branches.
: |& b4 a7 N& w% I& t' c& r% w如果每天利用片刻时间,以观想自性清净力之缘起,而修持意幻供养,定会获得无边功德3 _. r$ \3 P. Y% s8 ?; L
Every day, take just a few minutes to practice mental offering with a mind arising from innate 6 ~- r Q, B& r( h/ O1 f3 D
purity. By doing so, we are sure to accumulate boundless merit.
