散乱 | Distracted Mind
无垢光尊者有一句教言令我推崇备至,虽然自己因恶劣习气所驱,并没有时刻遵从,但也# K# B$ S' ~, {9 b1 m( S% Y
不妨说出来与道友分享。% z2 F  ]& r+ d0 M
There is one saying of Longchenpa that I really admire. Although my obscuration has prevented
7 e2 D( L( m$ `1 k- ^me from abiding in it all the time, I’d like to quote it here to share with Dharma friends.
( T6 ^/ |7 e3 p  f1 V+ k2 J那句至理名言就是:“时时刻刻应观察自心,若实在无法避免散乱,则应精勤于顶礼、转
4 v8 P4 A8 Y0 \3 `! g绕等与善法相应的散乱,切莫造作恶业。若居静处时,应当修持禅定等胜义善法,不能于
  x1 M/ \/ {/ v3 C5 \3 h3 Q浑浑噩噩当中度日。”也就是说,不要让毫无意义的散乱占据了自己的宝贵时光。任何心
4 {5 j9 N9 Y0 `5 C情、任何环境下,都应与佛法相应。7 {% _5 o& J, N3 z* a( |
This golden saying is: “On all occasions, be vigilant about your own mind. If distraction is
3 r  a9 Z( `, B8 A" uabsolutely unavoidable, then strive to engage in virtuous deeds that can be done in a distracting. Q+ [- x% e/ Q' ?. z  b6 U% B8 b
setting, such as doing prostration or circumambulation; never commit any evil deeds. If there is% m7 ]/ z' G. Z6 G1 d5 n9 t
time for solitude, then practice excellent virtues such as quiescence meditation; do not waste
5 l7 H# Z7 R  H  Vtime muddle-headed.” In other words, we should not let meaningless diversions take hold of our
' j1 I1 O( Q4 C7 ~$ u/ ]  m: Uprecious time. Under any circumstances and in any kind of mood, we should behave in3 Q  b* P. t2 ^9 A" R
accordance to the Dharma.  t* D& r" n& D; e
一些好的修行人,即使居于闹市,也能把握自己。表面上看来很懈怠,常睡懒觉。其实却
* J, G& q- R' L6 E% B9 e躲在被子里看书、念经、修行、甚至修习梦光明,像骏马一样远远超胜于整天忙于吹嘘自
, B$ U) R  p5 C8 |, ~己的人。根登群沛于印度时翻译的一些零散佛经中也说道:“放逸之中未放逸,睡梦之中
$ Q1 }) l4 ~" X/ g已觉醒,犹如骏马之智者,远远超离平凡众。”
/ E& v# t/ X, Q/ KA good practitioner, even living in a bustling city, can still stick to his own principles. He may
# y) {+ j5 E  k* H1 e$ \7 l: mseem lazy outwardly, always sleeping in. Yet secretly he is reading books under the bed covers,- x' U, L2 @% S
reciting scriptures, meditating, or even practicing luminary dream yoga. He is like a fine steed, far
3 X1 a; u' M5 X5 Z" ?) Dbetter than those who brag about self-accomplishment all the time. Gendün Chöphel has this( i+ j8 H% X+ y, n8 S( V
saying in his miscellaneous translations done in India:
0 t5 F! F8 y: G1 X; P% f& C5 }" w/ qA wise man is like a fine steed:* I( r" T6 {5 t9 `9 t
Being ever mindful even when relaxing,  b$ _, i9 k/ v; ^: }2 n6 P
Being wakeful while appearing to sleep.
9 D) X3 p* V9 z9 z2 lFar superior to common folks he is.
7 n) a* H2 R; m6 o/ o# L6 @. Y0 ~晋代文学家陶渊明也说过:“结庐在人境,而无车马喧,问君何能尔?心远地自偏。”
, P0 n  C" E  c' L8 lThe scholar Tao Yuanming of Jin Dynasty says in a poem:0 R; A. p! d9 V. W5 ~9 a) X
In people’s haunt I build my cot;
& g; d9 w/ ~; O: iWheel and hoof noises disturb me not.
8 n5 d3 h. f: d( e; DHow can it leave on me no trace?
' C2 o; X3 C7 @9 \& d0 @Secluded heart makes secluded place.; [4 @- B$ o: q; S4 _
即使把家安于闹市,却没有车马的喧嚣,为什么能这样呢?因为,一旦心静下来,环境自
6 P- p. z; N. p! @8 ]然会随之而安静。身体所在的环境,往往会随因缘而变更。心若调服了,周遭的环境自然
8 _, f( l0 a7 E& x# |2 b+ M" ?( U不会对自己有所侵害。哪怕是身居喧哗,也能如如不动。心远了,“地”自然就偏了。) F% }& ?' \4 \) Q  n) G- f
Even if one makes a home in a bustling city, one hears not the noise coming from cars or' y  U% t9 c' y
carriages. How could that be? It is because one’s environment will automatically calm down, J' N3 Z: C7 P+ t3 t! m
when the mind is calm. Our physical circumstance can be modulated by various factors. A
+ M8 k' G. f1 V; n) N% Upeaceful mind will render the environment incapable of making disturbances to it. Our minds
6 |% A/ m+ H7 F! nremain unruffled even when we find ourselves in the hubbub of the world. A secluded mind
: Y# f# E+ N9 o' {/ v# p- P6 rnaturally transports us to a secluded place.
