心宝 | Heart Treasure

/ Y( c* a: o2 L3 W& F宁玛巴的很多成就者们留与后代的世间财产,虽然不能与所谓的富翁同日而语,但他们以
  Q! C6 [8 e/ j8 u3 n1 y: R. G( Y
$ f1 u6 X* D6 W3 l9 j  r智悲精华凝聚而成的智慧宝库,却丰富多彩、琳琅满目,令世间富翁们望尘莫及。只要有7 K- \7 P# [  u# j; x
- Y5 z( O( p9 R) N- T
信心的钥匙,在此宝库中都能找到令自己欣喜若狂的珍宝。

' V6 t1 e" e* X8 }Nyingmapa masters have not left much worldly inheritances to their successors when compared; y2 p6 K" l" H: T

# ~: F$ H. l; w+ m6 u) `with those wealthy tycoons. But the masters have far surpassed the worldly riches in leaving' ?% w* Y1 Y4 q1 l' @  X- ]5 S
+ F: v3 _/ v9 o2 [
their followers the wisdom legacy, treasure troves filled with dazzling arrays of sublimated
/ c: A& V4 Q  _# q7 z! i: }# J
/ C6 K, k: V0 l2 `. @wisdom and compassion. Anyone equipped with the key of faith will discover in the vault gems
2 Q: D' D, U8 c: i4 H, m& x
. I7 T% u2 O- @0 s) [8 cthat bring boundless joy.) Q6 p1 q5 ?4 S+ f

今天,我到喇拉曲智仁波切的宝库里逛了逛。里面的宝物不可胜数,让贪婪的我一阵阵狂

3 j) n$ Y3 W5 j% G! P( {喜。但因力气有限,难以全部背负而出。只有选择一段认识心性的教言,忍不住想翻译过5 Y- R% C7 z! U8 [
: L- P! l+ F: v2 N
来,分享与人。希望没灌大圆满顶的道友不要偷看,否则护法会惩罚的。

! g  p0 m3 X- P% B5 X
" J% Y- {7 ~6 u. j' ?/ M& r6 }Today, I made a trip to Lhala Chodri Rinpoche’s treasure chamber and toured around.$ y3 ^, j# g( ?# q  c, ?3 R* Q8 l3 O
# y8 x, G4 v! Z# b
Innumerable jewels and gems filled the place to the brim and made me, who always craves more
5 L3 \/ g, u/ u. D( ^! j0 K4 o
* M- E1 E6 n  \2 Z3 qDharma, ecstatic to no end. But with my limited strength, I was unable to bring out all the; }8 {8 c. b4 B/ Z) S- H4 G+ q6 X0 ~; t6 ^
$ M8 I+ e' B7 p" V4 i, G
treasures I saw. I could not resist, however, translating one passage on recognizing the nature of
8 v6 D+ p+ V( a- u. z
$ [1 B$ f" k0 Fthe mind. While I’d love to share it with Dharma friends, those who have not received the8 O2 Z5 o; m# X% V+ l  S
2 Q2 c* D8 m$ W& v. B4 P
transmission on Great Perfection should refrain from reading it. Otherwise, a reprimand from the
3 N1 x) F/ T" y# y% [2 ^1 P. o* X+ S
6 v/ }/ [1 K+ JDharma Protectors is sure to come.* _" F/ ^& U  X# A1 Q7 U
: j) U6 J4 u4 P4 I' n" T( H
“略说直指之心宝:一切万法依心而显现,观察起心动念之心,却无有所得。观察自己之  ?. o& x6 X, }8 E2 A
* S& z3 l  u9 l$ x
心,其颜色形状皆不可得。无始之心乃为分别念所假立。真正寻觅‘我’与‘我心’,皆
5 ?. b  `# |0 f* r: F+ N2 p+ u. D1 D9 s, R4 Z) V6 H/ j7 Z& X0 H
为空性。除此之外,毫无实质,这是中观的见解。自己的心无有寻觅,自然安住于空性与  t: ^& A9 ~  h3 w7 q& `& L1 ?8 E. `
: J+ q8 S" i1 O4 P  `
显现不灭,自明自知的境界,这就是大圆满的境界。于此境界中不随外境而散乱,不被细
( S! k# z5 N, ~$ z2 N. ~- x- B7 F: Y: G9 A3 W
微分别念所染污,以正知正念护持明然了然之心,如河流之相续般长期修持,极为重要。) d. ~+ N2 n7 i( E
7 c8 P  x3 D# Z) n! T4 ~
此外,以修皈依、发心、上师瑜伽,断恶行善等世间善法为助缘。我宁玛老人索朗钦则(喇- \9 g9 [2 u+ r
0 f5 o/ \; h9 q* F
拉曲智仁波切的名字)平时所修持的唯有这些。愿其成为有缘者之心宝。”

2 c  P2 S& X' b5 _“Briefly, the heart treasure of direct pointing out is as follows: All phenomena appear because of3 [& B+ l% X1 u+ y1 p
. e2 s. T1 k$ O* L
the mind. When one investigates the mind that is having the thought, one finds nothing. Looking4 l+ p1 m  B: h7 f6 z) k

) u( b. b  y. q; ]3 I9 wfor one’s mind, there are no shapes or colors of it to be found. The thing we called mind since
6 A, t* G8 v" h0 t) U7 w& l
4 B: t+ S( A5 E( \" h) Ebeginning-less time is only an imputation of conceptual thinking. A thorough investigation of the
$ w1 ^5 A6 b  i; T5 e) N% d2 |0 j; L. T6 s1 y- a$ V
‘I’ and ‘my mind’ yields only emptiness. Other than that, there is nothing substantial; this is the
" U6 n6 g/ \. D6 W
# A# r8 g8 o6 a  Eview of Madhyamaka. Our mind, when no longer searching around, naturally abides in emptiness" J7 t; I" `% j* L* r

; N- e4 z  R% y* t% qand the unceasing display of phenomena. Such a state of self-knowing and clarity is the realm of
/ k$ e2 a. {/ A# r" u% x' b3 i$ k% G
Great Perfection. Remaining thus undistracted by external objects and unsullied by subtle3 i' u; C" H9 P, Q) d9 v: q+ [

5 x, b# h# G2 _* d. Jdiscursive thoughts, one maintains a luminous and knowing mind with the right view and
& |& ~: s0 W0 d' Y! L0 d) u. }
; y" r1 A2 i3 ?6 m2 umindfulness. It’s important to practice continuously, like a great unremitting stream. Besides,7 P) T8 ~! h' {7 C4 Q3 C6 ~
. n1 @/ B8 @( u
one also must maintain supportive practices such as taking refuge, generating bodhichitta,( u0 @. p, {( a7 v- o/ K0 L9 G
% r. H; ]) ]! D7 j6 \
practicing guru yoga, as well as observing worldly virtues of doing good deeds and abandoning2 _( b! D) [/ }* u
8 Y* p1 w8 i0 g5 N" j% K
evils. For me, the old yogi of Nyingmapa, Sonan Lanchen, there are no other daily practices
- e4 w8 P7 L% c# s% |0 n! K  X" \6 k# {; M* Z; }
besides these. May beings with fortunate karma also come to know this heart treasure!”  o7 n2 o! c  w: s" C% B
. G& r: u& @6 Y/ G& U
如今,我们得到了如此珍贵的心宝,实在应当珍惜。
* A6 ], {) a9 h6 D1 f; l3 L

; x3 |0 D* o- F  }6 zAt this moment, we’ve received such a precious heart treasure, shouldn’t we cherish it dearly?
8 @4 {& r& L  ?1 b6 ^& U  o& m* ?
# A! `& [" U9 O也有一些人,自以为是大圆满的根基,不修皈依、发心、上师瑜伽,断恶行善等世间善法6 t6 b+ G% B: W$ K' C

* @% a, ?! G  V9 H8 N,认为那是下等根基的行为。难道他的根基超过了传承祖师?
3 U  p8 L/ E% N& @6 W

6 k" N2 `1 P: ~2 z. t' y6 ?6 D' b6 fOf course there are people who regard themselves as possessing sharp faculties for Great, m- X0 I. T+ m) B9 e

; @% `* m: a6 U+ L$ C" QPerfection. They regard taking refuge, doing guru yoga, arousing bodhichitta, adopting worldly
2 H( J- p# C( r) a% `7 [( R
/ ?7 u8 q' g& z' Qvirtues, and abandoning evils as practices for dull people only and choose to ignore them. Do  I# p7 D, C) j" o/ Q& H4 W+ G

+ c3 O1 G" D; n5 F) c" tthey really think their aptitudes surpass those of our lineage masters?
- W+ n+ E5 u& m: |! ]$ `# a) e
# \* n# c) @* O前辈大德们交付予后学者的教言心宝,已经毫无保留地呈现在我们面前,只有逐字逐句地4 Z$ j6 c, j5 W

# W) G8 }3 c/ z1 I, Y/ N思维,并融入自己的相续,认识心的本性,并长期修持,才能无愧于上师三宝的大恩加被
) @0 g1 L% B" W

0 N- M5 K% v  m& {2 R/ S( N  o9 U( |+ P; a" c& O
The heart treasures left by our past masters have now been fully revealed to us without any; F# c9 i# l% A4 W  M' X2 v! d6 ~6 T

3 J" i- @% v4 v9 `6 }reservation. We should reflect upon them deeply, word by word, to permeate our mind with4 X0 [! Z/ Z) T  W4 ^

" {* }: v$ m; \them, recognize the nature of the mind, and continue the practice for a long period of time. Only
5 Z: R, Z  c* G# T8 c1 f; a; q& v/ t) @
by so doing can we prove ourselves worthy of the kind blessings from our masters and the Three
7 G0 p5 l9 q4 [9 n- U; H8 a. m% H4 O: G* B! o5 l+ I1 j# m( h+ R
