BEIJING, June 3 -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said here on Wednesday that China and Malaysia should beef up dialogue and cooperation and handle relevant issues in a proper way to jointly safeguard peace and stability on the South China Sea. In a meeting here with visiting Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak on Wednesday, Wen said that the Declaration on the Code of Conduct on the South China Sea should be strictly followed. Najib said that Malaysia has recognized the complexity of the issue of the South China Sea and would like to address the issue through friendly consultation under the guidance of international laws. |
