NEW DELHI, Aug. 25 -- Three Malaysian tourists died, one was injured and another went missing Tuesday when the vehicle they were traveling in fell into the Indus river in India-controlled Kashmir, reported the Press Trust of India. The accident took place at Alchi about 70 km from Leh, said the report. A local named Tsering Stobdan was driving the vehicle, which did not have any number plate, according to the report. Two male passengers, Angee Lee, 52, Lee Ah Yem, 59, and one female passenger Tang Guat Gnoh, 54, died on the spot, while another female tourist, Lin Bee Wong, 47, and the driver were seriously injured. One of the female passenger, Cheon Swee Chun, 42, is missing and rescue team headed by Superintendent of Police of Leh is conducting operations to trace her, according to the report. |
