Eleven Chinese tourists were injured, one seriously, after their boat collided with an oil tanker in Phuket in Thailand on Saturday afternoon, the Chinese Consulate General in Thailand's Songkhla said. The accident took place at 2:50 p.m. local time. Two sailors aboard the boat were also wounded. Two children were among the injured Chinese tourists who were all taken to the hospital. None of the injuries were said to be life-threatening. Consulate officials in Phuket have visited the Chinese tourists in two hospitals and urged local authorities to investigate the cause of the accident. |
